Jetski Covers
A Jet ski cover is designed to provide maximum protection for your jetski when they are on a trailer or in storage. There are various brands of Jetski covers and it is important that these covers are marine tested cover fabrics. These covers will protect the body, paint and graphics of your Jetski from the elements. This is especially important in those coastal areas where salt air can really do harm. These covers are made by using materials that were made using a stable dying process insuring you that their color will not transfer to your Jetski, which is a problem that can occur with fabrics that are not meant for marine use.
A preferred cover is made from solution dyed, woven acrylic fiber that naturally resist moisture, rot and mildew. Although not quite as good, but still a quality cover for your Jetski cover, is made using woven polypropylene to produce a fabric that is abrasion resistant, resists moisture, rot and mildew and is coated for UV resistance. Some are made of 3 ounce marine grade, 100% polyester with breathable fabric for the basic protection of your personal watercraft. Jetski covers can come in three sizes. Many covers include an oversize net storage bag making it easy to store the cover and allows water to drain from bag if wet.
Newer Jetski covers feature mildew and UV ray resistant fabric for great air circulation for fast evaporation and heat dissipation on hot days. The 3 ounce, 100% marine grade polyester provides excellent protection against the elements and if colored silver will reflect sun light. Some covers have an elastic band around the bottom of the cover for a tight fit. Other covers have built in release buckles and include tie down straps that go under the watercraft to ensure a tight fit and protect the cover from flapping in the wind while being pulled on a trailer. There should also be a couple of perforated covered pockets to allow for proper air circulation while being pulled on a trailer.
There are also deluxe models of jetski covers that have the same UV ray resistant and water repellent fabric and basic covers, but feature heavier, stronger fabric. There is nothing about these jet ski or waverunner covers that is light duty. The 300D polyester fabric will keep your jetski from getting damaged. Many have an elastic cord featured on this type of jetski cover that alone can keep your personal watercraft safe and out of the bad weather.
